DoTracker was born during an ultra cycling expedition across the Himalayas. An avid cyclist and tech enthusiast, struggled to keep friends and family updated about his progress. Spotty cell coverage, complicated tracking apps, and unreliable GPS systems made it nearly impossible to share the journey in real-time.
Most of the other solutions targeted big races and records; documenting and storytelling about individual journeys were not up to the expectations and at ease. Specifically, where India has a lot of restrictions around tracking devices, it was hard to use other solutions.
That frustrating experience sparked the techy: What if there was a simple, reliable way for adventurers to share their journeys with the world? What if race organizers could track hundreds of participants with just a few clicks? What if your biggest supporters could follow along, no matter where you were on the planet?
